Frigid weather prompts free streaming of Sunday's Gophers-Nebraska game

In this story:
Sunday's Big Ten women's basketball showdown between the Minnesota Gophers and Nebraska Cornhuskers will be free to stream on Big Ten Plus (B1G+), a decision the network made due to extreme cold that could prevent fans from leaving their homes to attend the game at Williams Arena in Minneapolis.
The arctic blast is impacting most of the country, so the network actually decided to stream all events on B1G+ for free this weekend.
"With severe winter weather impacting campuses across the conference, all events taking place on B1G+ this weekend will stream live for free. Live events will continue to stream for free through Sunday, Jan. 14, but the replays of events will still require a subscription," a message from the Big Ten reads.
The price of B1G+ varies by option, but if you're a Gophers fan and only want to subscribe to see Gophers games the price is $9.95 per month or $79.95 per year. If you want the "conference pass" to stream every event on the service the cost is $14.95 per month or $119.95 per year.
Sunday's clash between Minnesota and Nebraska is a weighty one. Minnesota (12-3, 2-2) enters play Sunday tied with Michigan State for sixth place in the Big Ten. Nebraska (12-4, 4-1) sits alone in third place.
The Gophers are fresh off a win Tuesday at Michigan and the Cornhuskers are coming off a Thursday victory over Illinois.
The game inside Williams Arena is set to begin at 2 p.m. CT.
