Heyer, Grocholski lead dominant 4th as Gophers win at Michigan

Minnesota outscored Michigan 29-12 in the fourth quarter.

The Minnesota Gophers women's basketball team turned a one-point deficit in the fourth quarter into a 16-point road win over the Michigan Wolverines Tuesday night. 

The victory is Minnesota's first at the Crisler Center since 2014 and they're now 12-3 overall and 2-2 in Big Ten play. Their losses this season are to NCAA powers Iowa and UConn, along with a home loss to Maryland. 

Mallory Heyer led the Gophers with 21 points but it was Grace Grocholski who stole the show with 16 of her 19 points in the fourth quarter. 

Mara Braun added 17 points for Minnesota and Amaya Battle finished with 13 points, nine rebounds and four assists. 

The Gophers knocked down 15 3-pointers, equaling the second most 3s made in a road game over the last 15 seasons, according to the Big Ten Network. 

Minnesota is back on the court Sunday at Williams Arena against Nebraska (11-4, 3-1), followed by a trip to Indiana to play the 14th-ranked Hoosiers (13-1, 4-0).
