Gophers extend offer to top-ranked Minnesota recruit Emmanuel Karmo

Athlete is the state's No. 1 recruit in the 2025 class.

The Gophers football program has extended a scholarship offer to Emmanuel Karmo, the top-ranked recruit in Minnesota’s 2025 class, according to 247Sports.

Karmo, a three-star prospect per to 247Sports, has received a number of scholarship offers in recent weeks, including from Southern Cal, Iowa, Nebraska and Ohio State. He also fields offers from Wisconsin, Oregon, Notre Dame, UNLV, Purdue, Southern Illinois, San Diego State, Michigan State, Kansas State, Iowa State and East Carolina. 

Karmo, who plays multiple linebacker positions as well as a wide receiver for Robbinsdale Cooper, had 62 tackles — 10 for loss — two sacks, a pick-6 and a scoop and score on defense while totaling 17 receptions for 294 yards and nine touchdowns on offense last season, his junior year, according to a post of his on X.
