Gophers get commitment from three-star tight end

P.J. Fleck received a commitment from three-star Ohio tight end Cross Nimmo Thursday.

Nimmo is the 47th ranked tight end in the 2025 class, according to 247sports. The 6-foot-6 tight end plays for Lake Catholic High School in Ohio.

"I am excited and blessed to say that I have committed to the University of Minnesota to continue my academic and athletic career," Nimmo wrote in a Twitter post. "Thank you to all my family, friends and coaches who have supported me all along this incredible journey."

During his junior season in 2023 Nimmo caught 29 passes for 791 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Nimmo also had offers from Illinois, Rutgers, Bowling Green, Ohio and others. He is the Gophers' fourth commit for the Class of 2025.
