Gophers targeting receivers from Wake Forest, Oklahoma State

In this story:
The Minnesota Golden Gophers are targeting a pair of wide receivers in the transfer portal, including one who was a preseason All-ACC First Team selection ahead of the 2023 season.
Jahmal Banks, a standout who is transferring after four years at Wake Forest, confirmed Friday that he's received an offer from Minnesota. The 6-foot-4 receiver totaled 59 catches for 653 yards and four touchdowns this season while playing with a first-year starting quarterback.
He was even more dynamic in 2022 when Sam Hartman, who starred at Notre Dame this season, was his quarterback. Banks had 42 receptions for 636 yards and nine touchdowns in 2022, leading to him being picked as a preseason All-ACC first-teamer.
Banks has been a beast at Wake Forest. In 2022 he was fifth among Power-5 players with a 58.6% contested catch rate, which also led the ACC.
Minnesota has also offered Oklahoma State transfer Blaine Green.
Green had 13 catches for 102 yards as a redshirt sophomore this season. He missed the 2022 season with an injury after catching 21 passes for 314 yards and a touchdown as a true freshman in 2021.
The arrival of quarterback Max Brosmer, who led the FCS with 3,449 passing yards with 29 touchdowns at New Hampshire this season, could be a plus for Minnesota when trying to get commitments from players like Banks and Green.
The only sure thing Brosmer has around him in the passing game next season is Daniel Jackson, who returns to the Gophers after totaling 57 catches for 871 yards and eight touchdowns this season.
There is a lot of hype about Gophers transfer QB Max Brosmer
