Gophers Tyler Nubin, Brevyn Spann-Ford invited to Senior Bowl

A pair of Gophers seniors have been extended invites to this year's Senior Bowl, marking the fifth consecutive year a Gophers athlete has been invited to the event.
Safety Tyler Nubin and tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford were invited to the yearly event Thursday.
Nubin is considered to be a first-round draft prospect, with ESPN's Mel Kiper having the Gopher as his second best safety in the upcoming draft. The 6'2" safety was recently named All-Big Ten First Team after making 53 tackles, 5 interceptions and 4 pass breakups for the Gophers this season.
The fifth-year senior made 207 tackles, 13 interceptions and three forced fumbles in 48 career games for the Gophers.
Spann-Ford caught 25 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns for the run-happy Gophers this season. The 6'7" tight end was an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention and is Kiper's 9th ranked tight end in the upcoming draft.
The St. Cloud-native caught 95 passes for 1,061 yards and seven touchdowns during his 56 game Gopher career.
The Senior Bowl is a yearly post-season college football All-Star game played in Mobile, Alabama. Participants spend a week being coached by current NFL coaching staffs before showcasing their skills in a game.
