Oklahoma transfer RB Marcus Major commits to Gophers
He ran for 833 yards and eight touchdowns in five seasons with the Sooners.
Oklahoma transfer running back Marcus Major said Sunday on social media that he has committed to the Gophers football program.
Major, who has one season of eligibility remaining, rushed for 833 yards and eight touchdowns in five seasons for the Sooners. He had 78 carries for 308 yards and a touchdown in 2023.
He’ll join a Gophers backfield that includes Darius Taylor, their breakout freshman star in 2023, Jordan Nubin and Ohio transfer Sieh Bangura, who committed to the U on Dec. 19.
The Gophers also added Penn State transfer receiver Cristian Driver, the son of longtime Green Bay Packers star receiver Donald Driver, from the portal on Sunday.
