Gophers complete sweep of Bemidji State

The fourth-ranked Gophers women’s hockey team scored three unanswered goals to complete a series sweep of Bemidji State with a 3-1-win Saturday in Bemidji, Minn.
It was the Gophers’ 22nd straight win over the Beavers, the longest win streak in series history.
Trailing 1-0 in the second period, Emmba Kreisz scored her fourth goal of the season on the power play to even the game with 4 minutes, 32 seconds remaining in the frame.
Ava Lindsay added a power-play goal in the third period and Josefin Bouveng scored another for insurance purposes later in the frame to seal the game for the Gophers (18-5-1, 12-5-1 WCHA).
Khloe Lund scored the lone goal for Bemidji State (3-20-1, 2-16-0).
Skylar Vetter notched her ninth win of the season, stopped 24 of 25 Bemidji State shots.
The Gophers return to action next weekend for a home-and-away series against Minnesota State-Mankato. Friday’s contest will have a 6 p.m. puck drop in Minneapolis, and Saturday’s game will have a 2 p.m. puck drop in Mankato, Minn.
