Mizzou Minute: Senior Bowl Show-Outs and Basketball Trends Continue

Darius Robinson has been putting on a show for scouts at the Senior Bowl, increasing his draft sock and turning heads. Missouri basketball continues their downhill descent.

The Missouri Tigers have continued to build draft stock by competing in the Senior Bowl showcases throughout this week. Nobody seems to have caught more eyes or attention that defensive-end Darius Robinson. Robinson has pushed himself into what many believe to be a first round grade, after previously being projected in the second day of the NFL Draft.

Robinson has already been in contact with NFL teams and scouts, notably the Houston Texans, who Robinson said that he had good conversations with and would like to speak to again. Robinson would be the second Missouri player projected inside the first round, with many believing Robinson's defensive teammate Ennis Rakestraw Jr. already carries a first round grade.

In other news, Missouri would continue its basketball losing streak, suffering a home-loss to Arkansas. The Tigers came out stagnant from the beginning and were never within striking distance. Tamar Bates continued to prove that he could be reliable scorer for the Tigers, even in losses. Bates would end with 29 points and an impressive 5 steals on the stat-sheet.

The SEC is unforgiving, boasting multiple high level teams. Missouri will look to turn it around quickly, as they still look to take home their first win of conference play in February.
