Their first series was not an easy one for the Missouri Tigers. Through the rain, fielding errors and strikeouts, they only proved that they still have more that they need to work on in the coming weeks before their first SEC game against Arkansas on March 15.

Missouri has always been stronger in non-conference play than in SEC play — granted, the SEC has some of the best teams in all of college baseball. But they won't be able to get the wins they need in non-conference to earn a winning record if they don't clean up their defense soon.

At the plate, Missouri still has some things they need to work on. Despite how their high-scoring performance in their last game might make it seem, the Tigers struggled with striking out throughout the series, ultimately getting punched out 36 times in the three games.

Missouri will take on CSU Bakersfield at 8 p.m. at Tony Gwynn Stadium in San Diego, California.
