There are currently 24 NC State alums playing baseball professionally, including three in the majors. Read below to see how NC State's baseball alumni are faring in the pros.

NC State currently has three players on Major League rosters (alphabetical order).

Andrew Knizner: St. Louis Cardinals: .221 average, 2 HR, 22 RBI

After a brutal start, Knizner is batting .295 in his last 30 games, including 10 runs batted in. St. Louis is cruising towards a postseason berth. The Cardinals are in first place in the National League Central and enjoy an eight-game lead over Milwaukee with 21 games left to play.

Carlos Rodón: San Francisco Giants: 13-8 2.93 ERA, 167.2 IP, 220 K, 29 games (29 starts)

Rodón needs to average 10 strikeouts over three more potential starts in September to finish with 250 batters fanned on the campaign. Should the lefty opt out of the final season of the two-year deal he signed this past offseason, he will command big money as one of the most sought-after free agents on the market.

Trea Turner: Los Angeles Dodgers: .305 average, 20 HR, 96 RBI, 24 SB

The Dodgers have clinched a postseason berth. Turner, who was a member of the 2019 Washington Nationals team that won the World Series, will get another shot at a ring in October. Meanwhile, he is cruising towards a 100-RBI season (the first of his career) and is already a member of the 20/20 club (at least 20 home runs and stolen bases).
