Bob Newton

A former NFL player, Bob enjoyed an 11-year career with the Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks, earning the title of “Lineman of the Year” in 1980, and he was a member of Nebraska's 1970 undefeated National Championship football team. In 2004, he appeared before the US Congress as an expert witness on underage drinking at the invitation of Congressman Tom Osborne from Nebraska. He has dedicated over 35 years to the chemical dependency field, with 15 of those years spent at the renowned Betty Ford Center, where he served as director of the day treatment program and a lead counselor.
