Nebraska baseball got behind and stayed there Wednesday night.

The Huskers (10-5) fell at Wichita State (10-6) 9-3. The teams split their midweek series with NU winning on Tuesday.

The Shockers posted four runs in the first inning and five more in the second inning to put the game well out of reach from the get-go. Nebraska managed to scratch across a run in the sixth inning before two more in the ninth.

Of the five Husker hits on the night, Cayden Brumbaugh notched two hits and a run scored.

Nebraska returns home to host Nicholls for a weekend series.
