Nebraska baseball started the second weekend of the season with a victory.

The Huskers (2-2) topped Grand Canyon (4-1) 7-2 Thursday evening in Phoenix, Arizona. The win handed the Antelopes, the defending WAC Champions, their first loss of the year.

Drew Christo earned the win on the mound, spinning 6.0 innings of one run ball, giving up seven hits while striking out four. Jackson Brockett and Tucker Timmerman closed out the final three innings, combining to allow one run on one hit with a strikeout.

Tyler Stone put together a multi-hit effort, knocking in three RBI on two hits. Case Sanderson also had two hits on the day.
