The brooms were out Sunday afternoon in South Carolina.

Nebraska baseball (7-3) swept College of Charleston (7-3) with a 5-3 win. All three of Charleston's losses on the season came this weekend to the Big Red.

Just as they did in the previous two wins this weekend, the Huskers did enough in the ninth inning to get the victory. This time, it was plating a pair of runs before shutting the door in the bottom half to earn the sweep.

Tucker Timmerman notched the win, pitching 1.2 innings late in the game. Timmerman allowed one hit while striking out three. Kyle Perry got the save with his 0.2 innings in the ninth, striking out both batters he faced.

Dylan Carey put together a three-hit day to lead the Huskers at the plate.

Nebraska returns to Lincoln for the home opener Friday against South Alabama.
