A fourth quarter rally fell short for Nebraska women's basketball Sunday.

NU (13-6, 5-3 Big Ten) fell 82-73 at Penn State (13-5, 4-3 Big Ten). The Huskers are now 1-3 against teams in the top half of the league.

Penn State held a 21 point advantage going into the final quarter, but Nebraska closed the gap for five points with 2:26 left. NU couldn't get over the final hump as the Lions made their plays down the stretch for the victory.

Turnovers plagued the Big Red, with 18 turnovers led to 18 Penn State points.

Alexis Markowski had a monster game with 16 points and 19 rebounds. Jaz Shelley and Darian White each scored 12 points, respectively.

Nebraska is off through the week until heading to No. 2 Iowa Saturday.
