Nebraska women's basketball couldn't put together a full 40 minutes Saturday in Iowa City.

The Huskers fell to No. 5 Iowa 92-73 in front of 14,998 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. National Player of the Year frontrunner Caitlin Clark put in 38 points with 10 rebounds and six assists for the Hawkeyes.

Nebraska led by four points late in the second quarter, but a 9-0 run before halftime gave Iowa a lead it wouldn't relinquish. All but 10 of Clark's points came in the final two quarters.

NU shot 39% for the game, including 10-of-29 from 3. Iowa shot 52.5%, making 12-of-29 3s. Iowa took advantage of 20 Husker turnovers to grab extra possessions.

Jaz Shelley led the way for Nebraska with 19 points. Alexis Markowski had a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

The loss dropped NU to 13-7 on the year and 5-4 in the Big Ten, while Iowa improved to 19-2 and 8-1. Nebraska returns home to host Purdue on Wednesday.
