The Domannator has played his last game in a Nebraska uniform.

Super senior JoJo Domann took to social media Thursday to announce his Husker career had come to a close.

"For the past six years, I've been honored to play at Nebraska," Domann said. "I'm eternally grateful for the opportunity to be part of a special community and program.

"I will always be a Husker."

Domann announced on his weekly podcast "The Beat" that he had surgery on his left hand. He had suffered the injury, a ruptured extensor tendon in a finger against Purdue.

Domann chose to play one more game against Ohio State.

"My decision on going was I felt like I needed closure," Domann said. "I didn’t want to end on those terms against Purdue. I wanted to know when my last game was.

"I was prepared for it to be against Iowa and for that to be cut short, I just needed some closure for myself."

The Colorado native ends his Blackshirt career as one of the most dynamic players to suit up on that side of the ball in Lincoln. Officially listed as a linebacker, Domann used elite pursuit to track down quarterbacks and running backs, and was routinely used in coverage.

Domann totaled 209 tackles in his career, including 133 solo, which ranks 11th on Nebraska's all-time list.

In his final game against Ohio State, Domann racked up nine tackles, one tackle for loss, a quarterback hurry, two pass breakups and an interception. Domann will have opportunities to play at the next level.
