Not the stress-free midweek match Nebraska fans were hoping for, but it was a victory for the Big Red all the same.

No. 1 Nebraska topped Northwestern in four sets: 28-26, 24-26, 25-11, 25-20. The Huskers are now 24-0 on the season, their best start since the 2005 team started 28-0.

Nebraska hit .278 while Northwestern managed .143. Both teams committed plenty of attack errors, with the Wildcats committing 30 to Nebraska's 21.

Four Huskers notched double-digit kills, led by Merritt Beason and Harper Murray with 13 kills each. Bekka Allick had 11 kills while Ally Batenhorst added 10. Allick also had a match-high seven blocks. Bergen Reilly dished out 45 assists.

Lexi Rodriguez had 11 digs, good enough to pass former Husker and current Louisville head coach Dani Busboom Kelly for No. 8 on the program's all-time digs list.

Nebraska stays home Sunday to host Illinois.
