Ohio State hasn’t had the best of point guard depth as of late. And, the departure of CJ Jackson didn’t help that cause.

But, with Coach Holtmann already proving himself on the recruiting trail, things have changed.

The emergence of four star lead guard DJ Carton, has given the Buckeyes a very talented PG from the moment he has stepped on campus. The highest rated guard since D’Angelo Russell, will be a huge piece in the future.

Most, expect Carton to be the day one starter for Ohio State, and that may very well be true. Carton can score it at a high clip, is explosive and creates.

But, Buckeyes have some talent behind their starter which, will help with much needed depth.

CJ Walker sat on the bench all last season, after transferring in from Florida State. Patiently waiting, Walker is finally eligible after the sit-out.

Walker was a four star point guard prospect out of Indiana, where he ran with the talented Indy Heat.

The class of 2016 product averaged eight points and two assists, his sophomore year as a Seminole. Walker is a redshirt junior that will give Ohio State some leadership, and on-ball creating ability!

A flashback to what Walker did in high school, is a glimpse of the potential!
