Marvin Harrison Jr. Suffers Ankle Injury vs. Notre Dame

A Notre Dame defender rolled up onto the ankle of the Buckeyes receiver, causing him to collapse to the turf in pain.

Ohio State fans erupted with cheers after running back TreVeyon Henderson scored the first touchdown of the game against Notre Dame, but then quickly fell silent.

During Buckeyes running back TreVeyon Henderson's 61-yard touchdown, receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. fell to the ground after a defender rolled up on his ankle. The junior was quickly attended to by the Ohio State athletic training staff.

Both Ohio State and Notre Dame supporters immediately fell silent after a timeout was called for the downed player. Fans then audibly reacted after getting another look at what caused Harrison to drop to the turf.

Replays shown on the Notre Dame stadium video board and the NBC broadcast showed a Notre Dame defender accidentally rolling onto Harrison's ankle while he was blocking for Henderson. While he was being helped off of the field for further evaluation in the locker room, Harrison could barely put weight on his right ankle.

This is a big concern for Ohio State fans, as Harrison was just starting to become a weapon for the Buckeyes against the Irish. With the Buckeyes leading the Fighting Irish 10-0 in the third quarter, the Buckeyes will need every weapon on their roster in order to maintain or increase their margin of victory.

Harrison emerged from the medical tent and jogged up and down the sideline in an attempt to see if he could play through the injury. Time will tell if the electric Buckeyes receiver will return to the game. If he can't return, the Buckeyes would be without their biggest home run threat on the outside for the remainder of the night.
