Quarterback Dylan Raiola is the No. 1 prospect in the 2024 class and was once set to become a Buckeye. But after making his verbal pledge in May of 2022, he de-committed this past December and made it known he would be attending the University of Georgia instead.

But Raiola has a year of high school ball to complete before landing at Georgia, and per multiple reports, he's transferring for his final season at that level.

Raiola announced he'll be attending Buford High School in Buford, Georgia, a northern suburb of Atlanta in 2023. Buford High recently won the Georgia state championship three years in a row from 2019 to 2021.

For those who have followed Raiola's high school escapades, this is nothing new. This is the fourth time in as many years the talented signal-caller has transferred.

Last season, he played at Chandler High School outside of Phoenix, Arizona. His sophomore year he was the quarterback for Burleson High School, a suburb of Fort Worth, Texas. His freshman year he played for Pinnacle High School in Phoenix.

This track record could indicate a problem with commitment. As noted, he's already flip-flopped on his college decision after only about a month.

This could be a good thing for the Buckeyes as they may have dodged a bullet with this recruit.

The de-commitment of Raiola stung Buckeyes fans hoping to land him. However, coach Ryan Day and the program rebounded quickly, landing the commitment of fellow top quarterback prospect Air Noland, a four-star in the On3.com rankings.
