Buckeyes OL Luke Wypler Selected by Cleveland Browns With Pick No. 190

Luke Wypler joins fellow Buckeyes lineman Dawand Jones in Cleveland after being drafted in the sixth round.

It has been a strong showing for the Ohio State Buckeyes so far, and their 2023 draft class grows even stronger as offensive lineman Luke Wypler was drafted by the Cleveland Browns with pick No. 190 in the sixth round.

The Buckeyes' offensive line was one of the definite strengths last season as they averaged 490.7 yards of total offense per game, with an impressive 192.4 yards per game on the ground.

Wypler was a key component in the Buckeyes' strong showing in the trenches, anchoring the offensive line from the center position and leading the way for one of the nation's best offenses.

"Wypler is a technically sound center in pass protection with decent movement skills, but his awareness, arm length, and play strength are below the level of an NFL starter," SI Draft Bible wrote about Wypler.

Wypler is the Buckeye sixth drafted so far in the 2023 draft and their third offensive lineman and will be joining his Buckeye teammate Dawand Jones in Cleveland after he was taken by the Browns in the fourth round.

Despite being one of the younger interior offensive linemen in this draft, there is plenty of upside for Wypler as he transitions to the NFL as a rookie and looks to earn playing time early in a strong Browns rushing attack.
