Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Minnesota Golden Gophers Game Predictions

The BuckeyesNow Staff gives their score predictions for the Big Ten matchup between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Minnesota Golden Gophers Saturday.

No. 2 Ohio State and Minnesota face off in a Big Ten showdown Saturday.

The Buckeyes are one of just eight undefeated Division 1 teams remaining, while the Golden Gophers have had an up-and-down season.

Ohio State has been very good on both sides of the ball, and seemingly addressed all concerns against Michigan State on Nov. 11. The Golden Gophers, meanwhile, have struggled in recent weeks, but are motivated to throw a wrench in the Buckeyes plans.

Below are the BuckeyesNow staff score predictions for Ohio State's matchup in The 'Shoe Saturday.

The Buckeyes are the better team, but need to avoid looking ahead to Michigan. I think they will have no problem with that, and after dropping in the CFP rankings, will send a message to the rest of the country that they are for real.

This is a “look ahead” game in Columbus. Ohio State is prepping for basically what could decide the Big Ten championship and a spot in the College Football Playoff. Marvin Harrison Jr. wants to show out one more time in front of the home crowd, and TreVeyon Henderson probably hopes to do the same.

So long as the Buckeyes aren't complacent early, they'll pull away late.

Ohio State has only played two Big Ten West teams this season, both of which they dominated. All around, the Buckeyes have proven they are a top-four team in the country.

Everything seems to be clicking just at the right time before the Buckeyes play in The Big House next week — their defense has looked great overall, junior quarterback Kyle McCord is connecting with his receivers, junior running back TreVeyon Henderson is back.

They should have no problem taking care of business in their last home game of the season.
