Ohio State NFL Draft: 8 Buckeyes Invited to Combine

Eight Ohio State Buckeyes will get a chance to display their skills in front of scouts from all 32 teams when the NFL Scouting Combine begins in Indianapolis on Feb. 27.

The NFL revealed its invitees for the NFL Scouting Combine, and the list is littered with names from the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Eight Buckeyes will get a chance to display their skills in front of scouts from all 32 teams when the event begins in Indianapolis on Feb. 27.

Here are the eight invitees for Ohio State on a list that includes 319 prospects:

- QB C.J. Stroud

- WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba

- OL Paris Johnson Jr.

- OL Dawand Jones

- C Luke Wypler

- DE Zach Harrison

- CB Cam Brown

- S Ronnie Hickman

Stroud and Smith-Njigba are the two Buckeyes with the most attention entering the draft while Johnson Jr. is expected to be one of the first offensive linemen selected. Stroud and Smith-Njigba are projected to be taken near or at the top of their position pool as well.

In his last fully healthy season in 2021, Smith-Njigba was putting up unreal numbers while looking like one of the best players in college football. In his last notable performance, he totaled 15 catches for 347 yards and three touchdowns against the Utah Utes in the Rose Bowl. Before that record-setting day, he had already had four straight games with at least 100 receiving yards.

While Smith-Njigba sat due to injury for most of this past season, Stroud and Johnson Jr. led the attack on offense before nearly leading the Buckeyes to an appearance in the College Football Playoff Final.

All eight Buckeyes could hear their names get called once the 2023 NFL Draft begins on Thursday, April 27.
