Ohio State Leads College Football In This Crazy Stat
The Ohio State Buckeyes continued to make history in the 2023 season.
The Buckeyes spent all of the past campaign ranked inside the Associated Press (AP)’s poll, making it the 56th such season in a row. Ohio State has the longest active streak of straight AP Poll appearances in all of college football.
FOX Sports posted a list of the ten longest-active AP Poll streaks, showing just how far the Buckeyes are in front. Second on the board was the Georgia Bulldogs, a team that has been placed in the nation’s top-25 in each of the past 27 seasons.
The Bulldogs are tied with the Wisconsin Badgers in that regard, followed in fourth by the Oregon Ducks with 26 seasons. The Oklahoma Sooners round out the top-5 streaks with a trend of 25 seasons, dating back to 1999.

Ohio State should have no problem adding on to their streak in the coming season, as they have assembled one of the best rosters in college football.
Key transfer additions like quarterback Will Howard and running back Quinshon Judkins have filled key holes in the offense. Returning players like edge J.T. Tuimoloau and cornerback Denzel Burke have secured things on the defensive side of the ball.
