Kentucky Wildcats Center Aaron Bradshaw Transfers to Ohio State Buckeyes

Kentucky Wildcats sophomore center Aaron Bradshaw announced on his Instagram page that he would spend next season with the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Kentucky Wildcats center Aaron Bradshaw announced on social media he would be transferring to the Ohio State Buckeyes for the coming season. The rising sophomore stands a staggering 7-foot-1, making him taller than every one of his new teammates.

"Buckeye nation lock in," Bradshaw posted.

Despite his lack of collegiate experience, Bradshaw has already cemented himself as a valuable player. Bradshaw played almost 14 minutes per game last season, recording just under five points and four rebounds a night.

Those numbers might not jump off the page, but Bradshaw's almost 58 percent individual shooting clip is better than all but two of the Wildcats. Even better, Bradshaw shot at a higher rate than each member of the Buckeyes (minimum ten shot attempts).

As previously mentioned, Bradshaw's height will be a welcomed addition to Ohio State. Rising junior Felix Okpara (who stands 6-foot-11) has been the tallest member of the Buckeyes to this point.

Combining Bradshaw and Okpara will form one of the tallest back-court duos in the Big Ten Conference. Additionally, the departure of 7-foot-4 Purdue Boilermakers center Zach Edey to the NBA Draft will allow the Buckeyes a height advantage against most teams in the league.

Bradshaw is the second player to transfer to Ohio State this offseason. South Carolina Gamecocks guard Meechie Johnson announced his return to the Buckeyes earlier last month.

New Ohio State head coach Jake Diebler has not yet shared his plans for Bradshaw, but it can be safely assumed the former Wildcat will play a major role on his new team next season.
