Game Preview: Oklahoma State Hosts Kansas State

The Cowboys search to pick up their second conference win as they host the Kansas State Wildcats.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are struggling in Big 12 play as the conference remains the strongest among college basketball. They stand at 1-7 in conference play and their schedule doesn't necessarily get easier at any given point.

Three games under .500, a win would be huge for Oklahoma State, even if they're unable to make any noise at all this season. With such a young squad with freshman getting a heavy dose of minutes, building momentum over the latter half of the conference schedule could be very beneficial long-term for the Cowboys.

The Cowboys host Kansas State in Stillwater in what could be a good opportunity to get on the right side of the win column.

Game Info:

Game time: Saturday, Feb. 3, 1:00 p.m. CT

Where: Gallagher-Iba Arena, Stillwater, OK

Records: OSU (9-12, 1-7), Kansas State (14-7, 4-4)

Spread: Kansas State -1.5

TV Channel: ESPN+

The Cowboys are short underdogs on their home floor, meaning they're likely to face a close matchup. Given their late-game woes, this could be bad for the Cowboys, but picking up a close, clutch win could help stack some momentum this season.

Evidently, defensive execution and controlling their possession will be big for Oklahoma State as they try and pick up their second conference win of the season.
