After a rocky start to their season, which began with an upset loss at home, the Oklahoma State Cowboys have reached .500. They're 3-3 after winning their second straight game, this time against Houston Christian as they won 92-65

It didn't quite start off the best, though. Through the first ten minutes, the Cowboys trailed by a point. They were scoring at a solid pace, getting stops was more of a task, though. They were scoring primarily off free throws, whereas the Huskies were shooting over 50 percent from the field.

As the second half winded down, the Cowboys scored in small bursts to expand their lead. They held a 52-37 lead at the break. Eric Dailey and Quion Williams both provided a good impact in the first half, combining for nine rebounds.

The same trend continued as the second half opened up. In the first ten minutes, the Cowboys doubled their lead, ending up with a 30-point lead. By this point, the game was essentially over. Contributions off the bench -- particularly from Mike Marsh, Jarius Hicklen and Jamyron Keller -- helped the Cowboys hit the accelerator and really extend their lead.

This is what the Cowboys were expected to do. They were always the better team, and they proved it by putting up 92 points in the win.

Marsh led the Cowboys with 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting, adding five rebounds. For the Cowboys, though, it was about playing a well-rounded game.

Six different Oklahoma State players scored in double-figures. The Cowboys also won the rebound, assist and turnover battle, just completely outplaying their opponent.

As mentioned, the Cowboys moved to 3-3 with the win. Getting ahead in non-conference will play as the Big 12 is shaping up to be incredibly competitive this season. With top programs like Baylor, Houston, Kansas and even Oklahoma, who should soon find themselves ranked, standing in the way, Oklahoma State will have to continue improving and get even sharper.
