The transfer portal is in full swing, and a former Oklahoma State receiver is taking advantage.

On Monday, Jaden Bray announced through social media that he is entering the transfer portal. This season, the 6-foot-2 redshirt sophomore was a key piece of OSU’s receiving core.

Bray played in 10 games for the Cowboys in 2023, racking up 382 receiving yards.

His largest output was in OSU’s upset against Kansas State to start the team’s five-game winning streak. He finished with four catches for 77 yards. He had another important game against West Virginia, where he had four catches for 53 yards and his first touchdown of the season.

As it turns out, WVU liked what it saw in OSU’s late-October victory, as Bray announced on social media he had received an offer from the Mountaineers. Compared to WVU’s receiving core in 2023, Bray would have been third in yards and second in receptions with 30.

After playing in just three games in 2022, Bray looked to have a bounce-back season. Before that, he had an impressive freshman season as he helped the Cowboys to a 12-win season.

In 2021, Bray played in 12 games, scoring 13 catches, 250 yards and two touchdowns. A big play threat as a freshman, he averaged 19.2 yards per catch.

That type of explosiveness could be a helpful addition to most offenses in college football. But it would be particularly helpful if a Big 12 rival could be the one to take him away from OSU.

Bray’s recruiting process has just begun, and he will likely receive more offers, but WVU is the first to get in on the action.
