STILLWATER -- Davonte Davis, the first commitment for Mike Boynton and Co. in the 2020 class took to Twitter Tuesday afternoon to announce his decommitment from OSU.

"First off, I would like to say thank you to Coach Boynton for the amazing opportunity and the privilege to earn a collegiate scholarship at Oklahoma State University. I would like to also thank the fan base that had welcomed me and my family to the Cowboy family. Life is about making the best decision for your future, I'm just trying to make the best decision for my future. So with that being said I have decided to reopen my recruitment. Thank You - Devo"

Davis, a 6-4, 175-pound point guard out of Jacksonville, AR, became the first commitment for Mike Boynton and Co. on Dec. 2, 2018. He's listed as a four-star guard and currently holds seven offers; Abilene Christian, Arkansas, Auburn, Oklahoma State, Oregon, SMU and Southern Miss.

While it's never great to lose commitments, Oklahoma State is still in on three very talented guards in the 2020 class: five stars Cade Cunningham and Bryce Thompson and four-star Rondel Walker.

All three have taken their official visits to Stillwater and all three hold 247Sports Crystal Ball votes in favor of Oklahoma State, with OSU in the lead for both Walker and Cunningham. As for Thompson, he has since cancelled official visits to both Michigan State and Arkansas.

The Cowboys are also still recruiting four-star center Jaylin Williams, who's also out of Arkansas and played on the same AAU team as Davis. The Cowboys are also in on four-star JT Thor, a 6-8, 190-pound power forward out of Norcross, GA who was on an official visit the same weekend as Cunningham and Walker.
