STILLWATER -- Oklahoma State has another senior that's headed to play in a postseason All-Star game. Receiver Jordan McCray accepted his invitation to play in the 2020 East-West Shrine Bowl in St. Petersburg, FL.

The will be played on Jan. 18, 2020 at Tropicana Field, the home of the Tampa Bay Rays, and will be televised on the NFL Network and 2 p.m. CT.

McCray joins recent Oklahoma State players such as Taylor Cornelius, Jordan Brailford, Zach Crabtree, Brad Lundblade, Tre Flowers, Blake Jarwin, Victor Salako and Jordan Sterns as they participated going back to 2017.

Through nine games so far this season, McCray has hauled in 13 receptions for 176 yards and two touchdowns. His longest catch of the season came in week six against Texas Tech when he hauled in a 73 yard touchdown reception.

McCray is in his redshirt senior season at Oklahoma State having transferred in this past spring from South Alabama.

During his time at USA, he had his most productive season during his junior year. He hauled in 29 receptions for 273 yards and four touchdowns.

Throughout the three seasons at South Alabama, he hauled in 58 receptions for 650 yards and five touchdowns.

With three regular season games remaining for Oklahoma State, plus the upcoming bowl game, there's a real chance that McCray could set a career high in receiving yards and touchdowns.

The East-West Shrine Bowl has been played since 1925, with proceeds going to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children. Just this past year, announced that it would changed from the Shrine Game to the Shrine Bowl.

“As our flagship sporting event that has supported Shriners Hospitals for Children for nearly 100 years, we are proud to announce the name change to East-West Shrine Bowl going forward,” said Jeffrey L. Sowder, chairman of the board of directors of Shriners Hospitals for Children. “Through efforts like this event and others, we have been able to treat and help more than 1.4 million children since 1922, regardless of the families’ ability to pay.”
