OSU Football Offers Three-Star Defensive End; Where's He Stand With Cowboys?

The Cowboys seem to have good chances to continue making noise for the three-star defensive end.

Oklahoma State sent out an offer to three-star defensive end recruit Caleb Smith on March 7. Smith is very impressed with what Oklahoma State has to offer, and it looks like they are going to have a solid chance to gain his commitment down the line.

All Pokes was able to speak a bit with Smith and gather some of his thoughts on Oklahoma State, as well as how the Cowboys’ staff got in touch.

Smith first came into contact with Oklahoma State through Paul Randolph, the newest defensive line coach in Stillwater. Randolph already had somewhat of a relationship with the Parker High School product when he was at Indiana.

“He’s a great coach, smart, a motivator, and a funny guy. He’s a great guy to talk to and I love having conversations with him,” Smith on Paul Randolph.

He also spoke highly of the football program as a whole, as well as the gameday atmosphere.

“OSU is a great all-around team, and it would be exciting to play for them. They are the best in their conference, and the gameday atmosphere looks amazing,” Smith said.

He confirmed that he will be in town for spring practice, and he plans to take an official visit to Stillwater.

Oklahoma State should have a good chance to land Smith, especially considering that they are likely getting an official visit from him. His recruitment is far from coming to any conclusion or close, but it's certainly somehting to keep eyeing as his process rolls on.

Caleb Smith is rated as the No. 675 overall prospect in the 2025 class (No. 64 EDGE). He stands at 6-foot-4 and weighs 265 pounds according to 247 Sports. He currently plays for Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama. He holds offers from several Power Four schools including Washington, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisville, and more.
