Truth About Buzz on Ty Williams - Pokes Report Spoke to Him

STILLWATER -- Earlier today, it was reported by another website, that bills itself as knowing Oklahoma State recruiting, that 2021 safety commit Ty Williams was expected to decommit sometime this week.
Williams spoke with Pokes Report on Monday night and told us the report is completely false.
Williams said he has not spoken with any media outlet or teams about decommitting from Oklahoma State or flipping to any another team.
In fact, Williams said the opposite. He was secure in his commitment to Oklahoma State.
"I am still confident with my choice in Oklahoma State," Williams told Pokes Report Monday (Sept. 14) night.
In an earlier report by the same site reporting that Williams was likely to decommit, they named Arkansas and Oregon as the likely destinations for Williams. Williams told Pokes Report those two schools are still recruiting him hard, but that he's remaining committed to Oklahoma State.
Williams also told another Pokes Report staff member that he was excited about the possibility of the NCAA lifting the in-person recruiting ban that currently goes to the end of September because he was hoping to make it to Stillwater for an Oklahoma State home game.
When I was face to face with Williams just two weeks ago, he told me he is excited about the 2021 class Mike Gundy and Co. is putting together and that he is happy with where the program is at this year.
Williams is one of 14 Oklahoma State commitments in the 2021 recruiting class and one of seven on defense, of which there are four players expected to be in the secondary on defense.
