Oklahoma State Softball Star Earns Preseason All-Big 12 Honors
The preseason All-Big 12 team has officially been announced, and Oklahoma State pitcher Lexi Kilfoyl made the list. Kilfoyl was the only Oklahoma State player selected. You can take a look at who else is on the list by clicking here.
Kilfoyl transferred from Alabama to Oklahoma State before the start of last season. In her lone season with the Pokes to this point, Kilfoyl had a win-loss record of 15-5, and she recorded 130 strikeouts in 139.2 innings pitched. She maintained a 1.70 ERA, while keeping opposing hitters to a .188 batting average. She allowed 96 hits and walked 39 batters.
Kilfoyl has been an elite asset for the Pokes so far. There are massive expectations for the reigning All-American going into this year, and there is no reason to believe that she will not live up to said expectations.
The Cowgirls were ranked third in the preseason Big 12 coaches poll, listed behind Oklahoma and Texas. Oklahoma State has the potential to have a fantastic year in 2024, and it will be interesting to see how well they play.
