Penn State Wrestling: How to Watch. Stream Penn State Vs. Ohio State

No Big Ten wrestling team truly has tested Penn State so far this season, as the Nittany Lions are a combined 36-4 in conference bouts. Can Ohio State deliver the first true dual-meet exam for top-ranked Penn State this season? Depends on your criteria.
With 10 wrestlers ranked among the top-12 at their weight classes, according to InterMat Wrestling, the Penn State wrestling team is a dual-meet powerhouse. Sixth-ranked Ohio State brings a strong lineup to sold-out Rec Hall on Friday, one that could provoke a few sweats. Ultimately, though, the Lions are clear favorites to win their 51st consecutive match and bring coach Cael Sanderson one closer to his 200th career victory at Penn State.

About the Nittany Lions
Penn State has won 51 consecutive matches, the longest streak in NCAA Division I wrestling, and shows no signs of stopping. The lineup has no weakness. The established stars are wrestling at an elite level (Aaron Brooks is 9-0 with five technical falls and three pins, for instance), the transfers (Aaron Nagao at 133, Mitchell Mesenbrink at 165 and Bernie Truax at 184) are performing and the newcomers are wowing. Freshman Braeden Davis (ranked third at 125) has solved a long-time headache of a weight class, and fellow freshman Tyler Kasak has one loss (to teammate Beau Bartlett) and moved up a weight class to 149 almost effortlessly. At full strength, this is one of Sanderson's best dual-meet lineups. And with a victory, Sanderson will run his record at Penn State to 199-16-2. That means Sanderson could record his 200th career win at Penn State against top rival Iowa next week.
Penn State-Ohio State matchups to watch
The marquee bout pits Penn State's second-ranked Beau Bartlett vs. third-ranked Jesse Mendez at 141. Mendez (19-1) leads the Buckeyes with 48 team points and has won seven consecutive dual-match bouts with bonus points. So Bartlett (13-0) knows he'll get Mendez's best. "There's no easy matches," Bartlett said this week. "We get everyone's best performance every time." The 149-pound bout will be interesting, first to see who Sanderson starts. It likely will be Kasak, who won an important wrestle-off of sorts at a tournament last weekend. If so, 12th-ranked Kasak will meet No. 9 Dylan D'Emilio (19-6). One more Buckeye to watch is Nic Bouzakis, who is ranked 12th at 133 with a 4-5 record vs. top-25 wrestlers. He'll meet fifth-ranked Nagao (8-2).
