Pitt Football Adds Silent Commitment to 2023 Class

The Pitt Panthers added to their 2023 recruiting class on Sunday, but the commit's identity remains unknown.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers' 2023 recruiting class is now 18 players strong after they landed another commitment from a high school senior on Sunday. Head coach Pat Narduzzi Tweeted his regular "Pat Signal" just before 3:30 p.m.

A couple of Pitt targets are set to make their decisions public in the coming weeks. Jalen Thompson, a four-star defensive lineman from Cass Technical High School in Detroit, Michigan, Tweeted on Saturday that he would be announcing his commitment on August 22. He holds offers from Cincinnati, Michigan State, Penn State, Ohio State and others. Experts from 247Sports have crystal balled him as a Spartan commit.

Another four-star player, receiver Hykeem Williams, also set a commitment date over the weekend. Williams told 247Sports in an exclusive interview that he had decided to make his decision public during his high school team's bye week on September 23. Two weeks before, he'll be in Pittsburgh to watch the Panthers take on Tennesee at Acrisure Stadium.
