South Carolina's men's basketball team is ranked in one of the major polls for the first time in seven years. What was life like back in 2017?

It's been a minute; No, a fat minute; NO a -- okay, okay, I think you get the point. South Carolina's men's basketball program isn't used to getting the kind of recognition that they're getting right now, as they were slotted inside the Top 20 in both the Associated Press Top 25 and USA Today Coaches' Polls on Monday afternoon.

It's the first time since the Gamecocks' magical Final Four run in 2017 that program has appeared in either of the two major polls. A lot has changed since that time, and so I thought it would interesting to look back and see what the world was like in April of 2017, which you might find interesting or might make you feel old.
