Gamecock MBB Rises Up Both Major Polls

South Carolina's men's basketball team is rising back up the rankings in the AP Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Polls.

South Carolina's men's basketball strung together a couple of impressive wins over the past 9 days, winning on the road against two bubble teams in the Ole Miss Rebels and the Texas A&M Aggies, and mounting a comeback against the No. 24 Florida Gators this past Saturday. With these wins, Lamont Paris and the Gamecocks have pretty much erased their loss to the LSU Tigers from the memory of pollsters.

Their now three-game winning streak lead to Lamont Paris' team being slotted No. 17 and No. 16 in the Associated Press Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Polls on Monday afternoon. With this being the fifth straight week that South Carolina is ranked in one of the two major polls, they've officially tied the longest stretch they were ranked back in the 2016-17 season. If the Gamecocks can avoid two blowout losses to the Tennessee Volunteers and Mississippi State Bulldogs, they'll break that mark this next Monday.
