The South Carolina Gamecocks might be done with the most recent transfer portal window, but it appears that some players are still mulling their futures with the program. Earlier this afternoon, it was reported that veteran offensive lineman Trai Jones was leaving the program, with Shane Beamer clarifying at his press conference that the South Carolina native was stepping away to decide what he wanted to do.

Now, it appears another Palmetto State native is set to leave the program, as per GamecockCentral, rising fifth-year offensive lineman Tyshawn Wannamaker is no longer with the football team.

Wannamaker was a part of the Gamecocks' 2020 recruiting class, went on to be named a freshman All-SEC selection by the league's coaches in 2021, and appeared in 30 career games, starting in 15 of them. Tyshawn's departure marks the sixth overall for the offensive position group, one where new faces are beginning to outnumber the old ones in quick fashion.
