Blake Franks Clarifies Commitment Date
In efforts to continue bolstering their 2024 recruiting class, Shane Beamer and the rest of South Carolina's coaching staff have keyed in on Offensive Lineman Blake Franks to add to an already impressive list of recruits.
Fans of the team received some good news earlier this week when Franks' high school Head Coach Greg Porter announced that the three-star lineman would be announcing his commitment on February 20th. However, that date has been ruled out by Franks, who took to Twitter to announce that the 20th is not the date he will be making his announcement.
Momentum in the Franks sweepstakes has seemingly swayed in the Gamecocks' favor, as recent reports have surfaced citing the Gamecocks as the lead horse in the race. Mazeo Bennett, who recently committed to South Carolina, is a high school teammate of Franks and has been vigorously campaigning for his teammate to join him.
Franks' three finalists in his commitment are Auburn, Clemson, and South Carolina, though it is believed the race is between just Clemson and South Carolina.
