2024 OT Mike Williams Sets Official Visit With South Carolina
South Carolina's Football coaching staff has stockpiled talent in the trenches for the 2024 recruiting cycle, landing in-state prospects in Kam Pringle, Blake Franks and Josiah Thompson. While this group would be enough for most schools, it looks as if the Gamecocks aren't done yet with their pursuit of offensive line talent in this class, as they've maintained strong communication with Mike Williams.
Mike Williams already possesses an indirect connection to the school, as his former high school teammate at Charles Herbert Flowers School, Desmond Umeozulu, joined the team earlier this offseason. This means that Mike has the ability to get information regarding the inner-workings of the program on a moment's notice, something that could be a distinct advantage for Shane Beamer and his staff.
Other schools like Michigan State and Miami, however, remain in the race for Williams as well, and with the Summer period upcoming, uncommitted prospects are beginning to set their official visit slate. After making his third unofficial visit to Columbia for South Carolina's Spring game this past weekend, the Gamecocks have landed an official visit from Mike, as the Maryland native will make a return trip to Soda City the weekend of June 23rd-25th.
