Early Signing Day went quite well for Stanford who signed all but one of their committed players, bringing in 23-of-24 players.

However, the headliner of the class is four-star quarterback Elijah Brown, their highest-ranked commit, and will likely have a chance to contend for the starting role immediately. The four-star Mater Dei product is fresh off a state title victory, and will walk away from Mater Dei as one of the most successful high school quarterbacks in history.

He accumulated a 42-2 record as the starter, with his two losses both coming at the hands of St. John Bosco. To make matters sweeter, he avenged this year's loss to Bosco in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 football, leading the Monarchs to a 35-7 victory. His impressive high school career saw him throw for 9,289 yards with 115 touchdowns, having just 16 interceptions, and completing 70.5% of his passes.

Brown's importance to Stanford checks many boxes, as he is the first quarterback that head coach Troy Taylor actively recruited throughout a cycle to Stanford as a recruit. His being ranked as high as he is, currently at No. 171 in the country, shows that Stanford still appeals to high-level recruits despite their recent struggles. Most importantly, when Stanford was having their best years, they had high-level quarterback play and Brown is someone who should be able to adapt and perform right away.
