Stanford's DB Terian Williams Honors Teacher with NIL Deal

Williams donated $10,000 of his NIL Deal to his favorite educator that that will go to the district through his name.

Teachers can make a lasting impact on a person's life, and Stanford's Terian Williams wanted to make sure that one of his favorite educators received the reward he deserved for making a deep-rooted impression on him.

Williams' teacher is Henry County Schools educator Jerry Hayes who has been a part of the district for 17 years. To honor Hayes, Williams donated $10,000 of his NIL (name, image and likeness) Deal to his favorite educator that that will go to the district through his name.

"Oh, my goodness," Hayes said. "In my name? Wow, $10,000? You've got to be kidding me TJ. I can't do anything but say thank you and your sponsors for believing in people like yourself, me and teachers across the country."

Willams has done nothing but praise Hayes for the valuable lessons he has shared and life-long impact that he has had on Williams' life.

"I wanted to let you know about how big of an impact you had on my life," Williams said in a video. "You taught me things about life that stuck with me throughout. You made the class a safe place, not only for me, but for all your students. Just allowed them to be themselves."

The Cardinal defensive back has a huge list of partnerships, including with Gold's Gym, PSD Underwear, Boost Mobile, but most recently, Cheez-It and College Football Playoff Foundation, and Williams wanted to use his deal for good.

"I'm just in tears right now," Hayes said. "It's been one of the happiest moments of my life."
