The Stanford Cardinal have already hit the ground running in recruiting their 2025 class, and based on social media posts from the staff they are expecting big things from this class.

On Wednesday, it was revealed via his own social media account that three-star linebacker Mantrez Walker will be taking an official visit to Stanford June 6-9th.

Having Walker on campus for an official is a huge get for Stanford, as they had somewhat been in the mix prior, but were left out of his top five. Earlier this month, Walker announced his top five schools, which consisted of LSU, Colorado, Miami, Penn State, and Ole Miss. It is also worth noting that last June was when Stanford landed over 20 commitments, many of which took an official visit and committed on the spot.

According to 247Sports, he ranks as the No. 434 player in the country, No. 48 linebacker, and the No. 50 player in the state of Georgia.

Walker's recruitment has already taken a couple of twists and turns, as he was at one point committed to Michigan last February, but backed off his pledge in September. According to his recruiting profile, he has taken an official to Colorado, while also making unofficial visits to Penn State and Tennessee.

This past season, he racked up 54 total tackles and four tackles for a loss for Buford.
