While Stanford's roster has a ton of holes at the moment thanks to 2022's team being predominantly upperclassmen, one of the position groups that needs the most help is wide receiver.

The Cardinal lost their three best receivers to the NFL, and outside of John Humphreys, the room is extremely shallow meaning that it will certainly be a position of priority for new head Troy Taylor. The new staff has clearly made great progress in the recruitment of four-star pass catcher Kwazi Gilmer.

The Sierra Canyon (CA) product recently told 247Sports which schools he planned to take his official visits to, and Stanford was one of them. Including UCLA, he plans to visit Michigan State on June 2, Stanford on June 9, Washington June on 17 and Cal on June 23.

He even provided some insight as to what he likes about Stanford and the new staff.

"Stanford was a huge offer for me because I know not everyone can get that offer. It’s a great academic school so my mom was really excited. There’s a new staff there at Stanford now and I like the energy and what coach Taylor is trying to build. With Stanford, there’s so much opportunity there outside of football and after you’re done playing so that’s why I’m giving them such a hard look.”

According to 247Sports' Composite Rankings, Gilmer ranks as the No. 269 player in the country, No. 36 receiver, and the No. 23 player in the state.
