Dyaisha Fair Named ACC Co-Player of the Week

Syracuse women's basketball's star guard was honored by the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Syracuse women's basketball star Dyaisha Fair was named Co-Player of the Week by the ACC on Monday. She shared the weekly honor with Virginia Tech's Elizabeth Kitley. It is the second time in three weeks Fair earned the award, though the previous time she won it outright.

The Orange went 1-1 last week, falling at 16th ranked Louisville before winning at Boston College. The game against the Cardinals was a tough loss, but Fair shined once again. She scored 28 points in the loss. That was not her best performance of the week, however.

Fair would tie a career high with 38 points to lead Syracuse to a come from behind win at Boston College. She moved into sixth place on the NCAA Division I all-time scoring list as a result.

More from the ACC on Fair's performance this past week.

Fair averaged 33.0 points and finished 9-for-20 in Syracuse’s pair of conference games last week. The Rochester, New York, native opened her week with a game-high 28 points with four rebounds and four assists in Thursday’s setback at No. 16 Louisville. On Sunday, the guard posted a season-high 38 points, headlined by five 3-pointers, to pace the Orange to a road win at Boston College. Fair has made at least three 3-pointers in every ACC game this season, as she moved into sixth place on the NCAA Division I all-time scoring list.
