Series History: Maryland leads the all-time series against Syracuse 13-6. That includes the Terps winning the last five matchups and six of the last seven. In last year's meeting, the Orange fell 15-12 at Maryland. The last Syracuse win was an 11-6 triumph in 2009.

Improvement on the faceoff has been superb, while the defense has taken significant strides as well. The Orange boasts a deep and talented attack that has been one of the best in the nation to date. Joey Spallina leads the team with 26 points on 10 goals and 16 assists. Goalie Will Mark has saved 58% of shots against him.
Maryland Coming In: Maryland has started the season 2-0. That includes a double overtime victory over Richmond in the season opener and an 11-4 win over Loyola. Eric Malever leads the team with six points on two goals and four assists. The top goal scorers for the Terps are Braden Erksa and Daniel Maltz, each of which have four. Luke Wierman is one of the nation's best faceoff specialists and is winning 65% on the season. Goalie Logan McNaney is saving 62.5% of shots against him.
