Class of 2024 Alliance (OH) High quarterback Brendan Zurbrugg has picked up an offer from Syracuse ahead of his June 16th official visit, he announced on social media. 

"I got the call and coach Beck said after watching my film again he confirmed that I have an offer," Zurbrugg said. "Very excited and relieved. I've been waiting for this one for a while." 

Why has the 6-4, 185 pounder been waiting for the Orange to extend a scholarship opportunity?

"I've been talking to them since the winter," Zurbrugg said. "My relationship with the coaches is great. I also had a visit back in April and loved everything about it." 

During his junior season, Zurbrugg threw for 2,184 yards and 23 touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes as a junior. He also ran for 804 yards and 11 more scores. In addition to being a football star at Alliance High, Zurbrugg is also an accomplished track athlete. He runs the 300m hurdles and 110m hurdles, and even won the regional title in the 300m. Zubrugg was an All Eastern Buckeye Conference selection in both.

Zubrugg is rated a three star prospect by On3. He is not rated by 247Sports, ESPN or Rivals.
