Daunte Bacheyie Catches the Eye of Syracuse Coaches at Camp

In this story:
One of the standouts of Syracuse football's Elite Prospects Camp on Sunday was 2025 Syracuse (NY) CBA wide receiver Daunte Bacheyie. He measured at 6-4, 185 pounds, ran a good 40 for that size and was impressive during one on ones as well.
"It was good, I had a great time," Bacheyie said. "I think I did good. I ran a 4.6 forty and my routes were really good. I think that it was a great first camp."
After the camp, Bacheyie was able to speak with Orange assistant Mike Johnson.
"Yes I talked to coach Johnson, the wide receivers coach," Bacheyie said. "He just talked to me about how I did a good job at the camp and he said some things I should work on but overall, I did pretty good."
During the camp, Bacheyie learned some things he can take with him that will help at future camps as well as the season this fall.
"They taught me things about my release off the ball," Bacheyie said. "How I should try and dip my shoulder if I am trying to get away from press. Some things the coaches and alumni were talking to me about were how I should keep my strides the same length even before I try and break at the top of a route."
While he does not hold an offer yet, Bacheyie caught the eye of the Syracuse coaches during a camp. If an offer does come at some point, Bacheyie said he would be excited and he thinks very highly of the Syracuse program.

Title: Publisher All Syracuse Education: Roberts Wesleyan College Location: Syracuse, New York Expertise: Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting. EXPERIENCE Mike McAllister has been covering Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting for more than a decade. Mike's career started with his own free blog as a way to vent following sporting events. Shortly thereafter, a network of basketball sites called Coast 2 Coast Hoops asked him to run their Syracuse site. That site was called Nation of Orange, and Mike quickly established it as a go-to for Syracuse fans. After running Nation of Orange for several months, a position with the Syracuse site on the Scout network became available. After one year as the recruiting expert with Cuse Nation, he was named the publisher. Mike oversaw the transition from Scout to 247Sports, and ran the site on that network for years. Presented with the opportunity to join one of the biggest names in the sports journalism industry, Sports Illustrated, Mike jumped at the chance. All Syracuse was started from scratch by Mike and the Fan Nation team. It has now become a staple for Orange fans of various sports. Mike has broken news on recruiting, Syracuse basketball and football team information and has established himself as the top recruiting inside in the market. He has appeared on local radio shows, television broadcasts, national radio shows and much more.
